RD-TECH AUTOMATED SYSTEM

>  PV-100

The PV-100 is an Automated Ultrasonics Inspection system consists of acquisition unit, scanner, and software that makes the inspection of pressure vessel welds an easy task.
• Fast inspection of large-diameter welds
• 100% weld coverage: root, cap, and mid-wall
• Easy installation
• Adaptable to many weld profiles, geometries, and wall thicknesses
The acquisition unit offers between 2 and 8 channels, which allows the PV-100 to use two inspection techniques simultaneously. The combination of time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD) and pulse-echo techniques means that the complete inspection is done in a single scan, tremendously reducing the inspection time compared to conventional raster scanning or radiography. As for the inspection results, they are available instantaneously; thus allowing you to spot a problem with the welding equipment and fix it right away. Based on our vast experience in the nuclear and petrochemical industries, this system includes all the functions that are needed for code-compliant weld inspections.

>  PV-200

The PV-200 is an Automated Phased Array Inspection System uses a variety of inspection techniques to achieve greater inspection thoroughness than is required by the basic ASME code. The phased-array technology allows the scanner to adapt to different weld inspection without changing the transducer position. This dramatically reduces setup time and eliminates many of the mechanical components needed with conventional ultrasound transducers. Fewer mechanical parts means fewer mechanical failures.
• Fast setup without manual transducer adjustment
• Easy adjustment of the ultrasound beam angle
• Smaller scanner with fewer transducers
• Complete weld coverage in a single pass
The PV-200 inspection system comes complete with an acquisition unit, a scanner, and software tailored to suit your needs. The acquisition unit controls all the multi-element probe channels.

>  PV-300

The PV-300 inspection system uses multiple NDT techniques for redundancy, which results in the highest characterization and sizing capability on the market.
• Scrutinizing inspection system for fitness-for-purpose assessment
• Multiple inspection techniques to maximize POD
• Detection coverage of 200%
• Added eddy current array probes for inside and outside surface detection
Acquisition is controlled by one or more acquisition units in according to the application requirements. The PV-300 system takes NDT of pressure vessel welds a step further by combining multi-element ultrasound transducers and multi-element eddy current probes. The eddy current technology has been added to cover another inspection required by the code: surface inspection done by either magnetic particle testing or liquid penetrant testing. The results are more accurate, and more rapidly obtained, and are kept on digital support for better traceability.

>  Traker and Rover

The TRAKER is a four-wheel drive, self-aligning, magnetic scanner capable of line or raster scan inspections. It can be used on flat or curved surfaces and it is guided by a mechanical or magnetic track. A built-in CPU-based controller and a pair of Hall-effect magnetic sensors allow the scanner to accurately track a magnetic strip.
The ROVER is a magnetic scanner for inspections on flat or curved surfaces. This scanner is capable of single-axis or dual-axis scans with up to 8 transducers. The moving axis of the ROVER is position-encoded for feedback to the data acquisition system ensuring excellent positioning of the collected data.
