GFC Series X-Ray Generator

The Balteau NDT GFC X-Ray generator series is designed for Crawler and driven by an electronic circuit board (the power components are cooled by forced air). Both components can be readily installed in the crawler body and connected to its general circuitry. Several DC voltages within the range 72-130 can be selected and applied to the generator.

2 Models are available: GFC200 with maximum 200kV and GFC300 with maximum 300kV.

An exclusive feature allows generator to operate at constant kV output while tube mA decreases with battery discharge with the CF3 control unit. This feature greatly improves crawler endurance by maintaining optimum exposure time regardless of battery discharge level. This is achieved as a result of the time being continuously readjusted according to the mA value.

CF3 Controller

A generator needs a power supply for working. With a Crawler, this power supply is brought by a battery set embarked in the mechanical carrier. The CF3 is the power converter (Chopper) between the batteries and the Generator. However the CF3 is also an intelligent regulator which will be able to give out of your batteries the most stable and constant output all along your exposures. Our Chopper CF3 is the result of the technology evolution that is applicable in electronics nowadays.

Based on the well known CF1 that has equipped several generations of Crawlers around the globe, this new model has also been developed to be used with the major brands of Crawler Manufactures.

Crawlers

Various X-Ray crawlers are available to inspect diameter as small as 6” up to 72”. The crawler can be equipped with either isotope or non-isotope trackers, wheel spacer kit, recovery units, etc.
